YELLOW FELLAS!!๐
How are you today? Hope you all are doing well :) I'm Mariam Nur Fairiza on my blog this time I will explain basically what a Cause and Effects is..
Did you know that one condition can lead to another? We can make the work we procrastinate as a result and the reason we postpone the activity can be called Cause. As it turns out, giving excuses for the things we can't do is something we often do. In making excuses, we must also pay attention to linguistic elements and contextual meanings which are loaded with moral values contained in them. There is a cause and there is an effect. So, to find out more, what is the cause and effect... let's read my blog to the bottom.
❤๐
First of all, what is Cause?
➢ Cause is the reason why something happens or the reason for an action.
For example: when I come late to school because I get stuck in traffic
๐
Usually when we are explaining 'cause' we tend to use the following words:
- Because
- Created by
- Led to
- On account of
- The reason for
- Due to
- Unless
Well the words above can also be called 'SIGNAL WORDS' or words that indicate that what we want to talk about next is an excuse.
The 'cause' would not be complete without the 'effect'. Now, let's talk about what 'effect' is.
Second of all, what is Effect?
➢ Effect is the result of an action that tells you about what happened.
'Effect' is the result of something happening. For example: Because I was late for school, I was punished by the teacher.
There are several signal words that are commonly used for 'effect', namely:
- As a result
- For this reason
- In order to
- Finally
๐๐๐
So when you want to explain cause and effect to someone, you don't just say 'cause' and 'effect', right, so in cause and effect there are connecting words to clarify what you want to say to them, then what are those conjunctions? let's find out
There are two types of conjunctions, namely:
1. Conjunctions followed by clause
A conjunction followed by a clause is a conjunction that requires a subject and a predicate in its writing. These first types of conjunctions include:
➤Because
➤Since
➤As
➤For
➤As a result for
2. Conjunctions followed by phrases / gerund
A conjunction followed by a phrase is a conjunction that is only followed by a noun phrase or a gerund without any predicate or verb in it. These second types of conjunctions include:
➤Due to
➤Because of
➤Owing to
➤Thanks to
๐๐ฎ
Combining two sentences related to cause and effect requires a cause and effect conjunction. Writing and speaking in English about cause and effect is called a cause effect relationship. There are sentences that are the cause and there are sentences that are the effect.
