Hello everyoneπŸ™‹
I'm Mariam Nur Fairiza from grade 11 science 2. Today I will explain about "Thought" as far as I know and what I got from various sources on the internetπŸ˜€πŸ™Œ

THOUGHT

Difference of opinion and thought is

A thought is static, while an opinion is active. Thoughts are ideas or a collection of ideas about a particular subject. It's in the mind. An opinion expresses a belief about something that is held with conviction in mind but is not substantiated by knowledge or positive evidence. It tends to be directed towards an end planned in the mind.
Thought is a form of verb 2 and verb 3 of think. Thought can also mean "Thoughts", when used as a noun. A deeper explanation of verbs and nouns can be seen in parts of speech.
The use of the word "Thought" in English can be in the form of simple past tense when using it as a verb 2. If "Thought" is used as a verb 3, then the form is present or past perfect tense. While in the form of a noun, "Thought" is used as an object.

Thought as a verb

"Thought" as a verb is the past and past participle of "think". Most of us are probably more familiar with past as a second form of verb or verb 2 (v2), and past participle as a third form of verb or verb 3 (v3). Because "thought" is v2 and v3, "thought" can only be used in sentences in the past simple tense and perfect tenses.

EXAMPLE OF SENTENCES
  • I thought we were going to uncle's house
  • Dina thought she had a bad test score
  • I had thought that they would have come late
  • I have thought you bought this cake from the shop. Turns out this is a cake made by your mom

Thought as a Noun

"Thought" as a noun means "thought", "idea", or "opinion" in Indonesian. Because in this context it acts as a noun, then its use is also the same as other nouns. In addition, "thought" as a noun can also mean "remember" or "consider" something or someone

EXAMPLE OF SENTENCES
  • Every time I go to sleep, bad thoughts come up that make it hard for me to sleep
  • He couldn't shake the thought of losing her
  • Every person has their own thoughts about something
  • I haven't given the offer much thought

That's a little explanation about "THOUGHT" from me. If something is not clear, you can write it in the comments column and don't forget to watch the explanation video so you might understand betterπŸ˜‰. Thank youπŸ’•
